Two great acts from Wellington not to be missed! Glass Vaults' Richard and Rowan have taken their guitars, voices, drums and dream-triggering gadgetry, drenched them in the vapour of clouds and given birth to an intimate and sentimental sonic experience. Five beautiful pop delights with the added bonus of lost-in-the-ocean vibes, all freely downloadable from their BandCamp and now available on 12″ colour vinyl thanks to US label Jukboxr.
Made from 100% NZ apple juice, this is a delightfully refreshing medium-to-dry slow fermented cider.

Characteristics: An effervescent cider made from selected Central Otago apple varieties to give the right balance of flavour and bite. The juice is extracted using the traditional rack and cloth method, then fermented and conditioned for at least six months to mellow. Served chilled.
Marlon Williams, lead singer of local alt-country group; The Unfaithful Ways will sing you songs of love, loss and tales drenched in whisky so smoky, we'll have to take all the batteries out of the fire alarms. With a voice to die for and a love of storytelling, this fella is not to be missed.
At the
Brewers Guild of New Zealand Awards (2011) Cassels & Sons won:

Rex Attitude is inspired by French techno and the whisky of Scotland's west coast. like the 'Auld Alliance' it combines a little Scottish rogue with a dose of French 'je ne sais quoi'.
Lyttelton's favourite bruisers are coming through the tunnel and tumblin' over the port hills, for a night that is sure to be as fun as it is bound to live on in infamy...
