Sarau Lager (Moutere Brewing)

German settlers arrived in Upper Moutere in 1843 and after a rough start, settled Upper Moutere, then called Sarau, in 1850. Cordt Bennseman started building the Moutere Inn in 1850 as a resting place between Richmond and Motueka - in the heart of the new hop growing area.

Brewed in the Munich Helles style, Sarau Lager offers malty flavours with a refreshing and gentle hop finish.
