Pours clear and golden (tick in the box, it does what it says on the label) with a good enduring head with biggish bubbles in it. The bouquet is fresh and fragrant. Among the grapiness and lemon grass was a toffeish note that intrigues. Also there’s banana passionfruit scents that reminds me of long summers in Nelson as well as hot buttered toast. I’d be quite happy if this is the last thing I ever smell. The taste is fresh and bitter at once. There’s a hoppy tang that I enjoy as well as a generous carbonation. This is an ideal summer ale and one I’ll be recommending in spadefuls.
