Brewed in the style of the IPAs that made Burton-on-Trent famous, but incorporating New Zealand Southern Cross hops in the grist. This cask conditioned NZPA is a first for Galbraith's brewers and New Zealand making its first appearing in June 2010 to celebrate Galbraith's Alehouse 15th anniversary.
Pale to mid gold in colour the nose is of resinous hops and light caramel malt. The first mouthful is decidedly bitter but soon yields to a rich maltiness that is balancing and mouth-filling. This again gives way to a dry hoppy finish that lingers long on the palate. If you don't like hops stay well away.
