This lightly hopped dark ale has a roasted malt flavour with a touch of chocolate. This mild ale finishes clean and smooth for easy drinking.
"Very dark. I held my glass up to the light and only saw a lick of russet notes on the edge of my glass. Big creamy-white head, aromas of coffee, caramel and Dutch cocoa. As the head recedes, it;s covering the glass in a rather satisfying lace. Those aromas are evident in the flavours, but everything except the chocolate is short lived. For all that, the chocolate lingers and spreads a good carbonation mouthfeel across the palate. The finish lingers for a minute or two and then gone... in time for another sip. This beer is perfectly likeable."
