Pouring a rich golden hue beneath a wispy white head, Wasp has a sweetish aroma and palate combining biscuity malt, caramel and floral honey. Medium-bodied, with a spritzy mouthfeel and lingering vanilla note that remind me of creaming soda, the beer finishes crisply with an edge of citrusy tartness from the hops.
Appearance – a pale straw coloured beer. 10% wheat malt added to the grist supplies a generous clinging head.
Aroma – a true lager yeast fermented at low temperatures provides the characteristic characteristics of a bohemian pilsner. Generous additions on New Zealand Motueka and Riwaka hops provide a new world twist to this ancient classic. This is a very hoppy lager.
Crisp, floral hop aroma with a rich malty sweetness that is beautifully balanced by its spicy hop bitterness.
Brewski is very popular with the truly discerning beer drinker, it’s saaz hop give it a very distinct flavour. Brewski was judged New Zealand’s best beer when it won the supreme award at the NZ international Beer Awards.
